Bushy Creek has a very calm residential vibe. Homes are available on massive lots like the one pictured above and in well developed neighborhoods, In the summer of 2023 the Severe Heat has ruined the green inviting look of years past So many lawns look utterly dead to the point one would not expect them to come back when the rain returns… but they will, It’s crazy to me though that anyone would want a huge lawn to maintain. These massive lawns are in my opinion a waste of resources (Especially water). Water restrictions due to the above average temperatures in 2023 have made the entire area look dead.

Families looking for a safer middle to middle upper class area with good schools and a suburban feel should consider Bushy Creek which is part of the Round Rock Area near Cedar Park and quite a distance north of Austin Proper. It would be a good idea to do a search in Google Maps to more clearly define the area if you are considering relocating. Keep in mind the traffic you encounter “Up North” can seem to be not so bad, but it does pick up during Rush Hour and if you expect to commute to downtown Austin you would be well served to move to a neighborhood closer in.
